A body of 40 SATB singers, with a repertoire of quality & depth inspired by the sound of vocal groups such as EKO, Bobby Mcferrin’s Voicestra, The Elements, Deep Throat Choir, BOY, The Nightbus Choir, The Boxettes and ROYST. There will also be opportunities for soloists and collaboration with local artists/producers at our bespoke events, taking the harmony out of the church hall and into Bristol’s music scene.

Enthusiasts of progressive music, who are wishing to experience the connection of singing in a choir. It is aimed at vocalists working at an intermediate to advanced level, who are able to demonstrate solid foundation rhythm/pitch/harmony skills, are seeking opportunity to grow as a singer, and above all are willing to commit to the rehearsal process, personal practise
and one performance a term. Please get in contact if you are interested in joining but are unsure about the level you’re working at.

Sessions will be held by singer-songwriter/producer, Isolde Freeth-Hale, who has been writing, performing, teaching, leading and arranging for choirs for over a decade, training with Frankie Armstrong, Briony Greenhill, members of ROYST, the Associated Board of Choral Directors, & is currently undertaking a Music MA at Goldsmiths. She currently runs the Rising Voices Recovery Choir with Bristol Drugs Project, Bath Theatre Royal Choir, & teaches singing & songwriting at The Bristol Folk House.

Sessions will also be assisted by Joe Hill, an experienced pianist, guitarist & passionate acapella singer with a background that spans Chapel, Jazz, Barbershop, Pop, World & Threshold Choir singing.

Sessions include an in depth warm-up and technical skill building, covering ear training, vocal agility, expression, support, rhythm (inc. body & vocal percussion), improvisation and team building. Parts will be taught by ear and supported by recordings for home practise. Parts will be assigned according to the range of each singer, so please confirm your place early if you have a preference for Sop/Alto/Tenor/Bass.
