Offstage Shadowing Opportunity

Cost: Volunteers expenses will be paid to help cover travel and lunch costs.

Organiser: Ruth Ramsay

Anansi and The Grand Prize is a new theatrical show that adopts the delivery style of traditional British Pantomime but delivered with an African & Caribbean twist and enlivened with a fusion of storytelling, dance, music and carnival arts.

The Anansi and the Grand Prize production team are looking for a up to three young people of African Caribbean descent or a mature student of African Caribbean descent who are interested in a career working in the off-stage area of theatre production, I.e. stage management, lighting or sound technician etc. They will have the opportunity to shadow technicians in The Weston Studio at Bristol Old Vic and work on the Anansi production in progress. Rehearsals begin Wednesday 20th November – 7th December and performances from 9th December – 21 December 2019.

Ideally we’d like you to be with us everyday throughout rehearsals and performances so you get a fully rounded experience but we recognise that this may not be possible so we are open to discussion on availability and flexible on the days of attendance.
