Swindon Wellbeing and Arts Festival
23rd May 2020
This year Swindon Council are arranging another fantastic Swindon Wellbeing and Arts Festival to help to raise awareness around mental health and the positive impact the arts can have on wellbeing.
This is a call out for performers, service users, artists, comedians and/or facilitators to contribute a short performance/workshop (inspired by the theme mental health/art/wellbeing), which will be part of an interactive arts walk.
Performances need be no longer than 5 minutes, and workshops 10/15 minutes. The idea is to invite walkers to interact with Swindon and the topic of mental health in visceral and artistic ways. The hope is that your performances will be seen by passersby, people in the community and those on the walk, engaging people in a conversation around mental health and wellbeing.
This is an exciting opportunity to engage creatively with the topic of mental health, express your ideas, have your story heard and contribute to the conversation.
To share your interest, ideas, stories and creativity, please email Harriet Garbas, Dramatherapist (HCPC) on Harrietgarbas@gmail.com.
