Volunteer Workshop Assistants – mental health

Organiser: Many Minds

Volunteer Workshop Assistants

Facilitation series Oct – Dec 2019

Many Minds are looking for enthusiastic and committed people to join our team in our weekly performance making workshops.

Many Minds is a member-led mental health and performance charity that facilitates creative spaces and make performances that put people who identify with experiences of mental ill-health in the driver’s seat as a way to break down stigma and trigger generosity and equality.

We will be running a series of workshops in drama facilitation for our current members to learn skills and practice facilitating their own sessions. We are looking for people to help support the sessions by preparing the space, welcoming and supporting members in the session and helping to clear the space after every session. Our volunteers are a key part of the team and are also required to participate in the workshop sessions.

Commitment required: We meet every Tuesday evening from 5:30- 9pm at the PRSC in Stokes Croft. Dates: Oct 15th – Dec 17th.

What we offer: We provide volunteers with group external supervision sessions, training to do the role, lots of staff support and the opportunity to work with some inspiring people on ambitious arts projects. We also reimburse travel expenses for getting to and from workshops.

“Volunteering with Many Minds is a truly incredible experience. You will feel supported, involved and utterly inspired by the group and art that is produced” – Katie, Many Minds Workshop Volunteer

We welcome applications from people from all ages, backgrounds and walks of life. If you are interested in the role, please send a couple of paragraphs about yourself and why you are interested in volunteering with us to [email protected] or call Olivia on 07843 210 272.
