The art of telling powerful stories in public space.
A lively one-day symposium inviting writers, artists and those interested in presenting work in site-specific and outdoor environs, to come together to take an in-depth look at the use of narrative to tell compelling stories of people, place and the world in which we live, be it through site-specific performance, visual installations, sound trails, digital work, live art or street theatre.
Whether you are an emerging writer or a seasoned outdoor artist wishing to hone your writing skills, this is a unique opportunity to explore the possibilities and challenges faced by those shaping work in this unique and tricky landscape.
Network, debate with peers, make connections and be part of the conversation with our panel of inspirational speakers. With Clare Patey of the Empathy Museum, Experimental Theatre Maker Melanie Wilson, Comedy Sketch Writer Susie Donkin and Writer and presenter Gaylene Gould.
This Symposium will take place at 101 Outdoor Arts, Newbury on Thursday, 6th February 2020.
Tickets are £12 and include lunch.
