Delivering bespoke Everyday Access Solutions workshops and Access Officer services for the arts, leisure and community venues.
Access & Inclusivity Matters offers bespoke workshops on Accessibility solutions and inclusivity training for arts, leisure and community venues.
I was the Access Officer, and Group Sales Manager, in a large commercial theatre group for 23 years, assisting 2000+ disabled customers every year. I spear-headed a wide range of Accessibility services and facilities for theatre, including the Assisted performances programme for the group, successfully delivering hundreds of such events.
I now run Access & Inclusivity Matters, delivering workshops that focus on a practical, basics-first approach to Accessibility, providing a comprehensive foundation in everything you need to know embed Accessibility across your organisation.
“I can’t praise Trish highly enough for the level of professionalism and detail that went into our bespoke training day. All staff members in attendance came away feeling excited about what they had learnt and at the prospects of enhancing what we can do within our theatre for our access patrons based on what they had learnt. Thank you Trish!” Jenny Crowell, Marketing and Access Officer, the Egg Theatre Bath
There are lots of low- or no-cost solutions that can be implemented straight away, and longer-term suggestions to develop over time, helping participants to work towards improving the experience of all D/deaf and disabled people visiting or working in their centre.
I’ll put together bespoke workshops to suit your time, budget and content requirements, based on anything from the comprehensive: a&im 1: Accessibility in Mind workshop in awareness, inclusivity and everyday accessibility solutions, including an overview of the Equality Act 2010, customer service awareness sessions and participant-led venue accessibility assessment.
Or the a&im 2: Assisted Performances workshop, which explores all aspects of the set-up and successful delivery of accessible events, such as audio described, sign language interpreted and ‘relaxed’ events.
Or cherry-pick from both! All workshops come with detailed, comprehensive resources.
Let’s work together to make sure Access & Inclusivity Matters in your organisation!
