Frenetic Fox is a Bristol-Dorset based production company that creates original work which strives to be daring, dynamic and distinctive. This work is developed in a collaborative, devised fashion.
Drawing from personal experiences growing up in a world saturated by online networking, political injustice and irresponsible media, we explore themes of provocation.
Incorporating original music along with imaginative visual elements and the spoken word – Frenetic Fox develops theatre which reflects the modern appetite for storytelling in a world where Netflix rules the roost.
We are currently developing ‘Sub’ – the follow-up to our award nominated performance piece ‘Appily Ever After’, in collaboration with playwright Hannah Soulsby-Phillips. ‘Sub’ is kindly supported by Activate Performing Arts, Dorset and is developed through a residency at Creative Workspace, Bristol.
Ivan Jackson of BCFM Radio on Frenetic Fox’s ‘Appily Ever After’
‘Paul Lawless’s one-man show . . . explores his experiences of app-dating with touching songs, a certain amount of silly . . . The show is rich in beautiful language . . . Paul’s singing offered the proceedings a sparkling beauty . . . His ability to be engaging (and deserve better than those bad dates) is especially on show in the audience participation elements of the performance . . . Appily Even After is a grown-up play, as much for its thoughtful structure, creative imagery and intricate language as its subject matter.’
