Fried Gold Theatre

Fried Gold are a physical theatre company formed in 2009 who create visually stunning, interactive characters and performances. They specialise in street theatre, walkabouts and outdoor shows.

Based on the original Lewis Carroll poem, ‘The Walrus and the Carpenter’ is a walkabout and promonade performance which gathers a crowd using storytelling, singing, physical comedy and audience interaction.rnrn’Oh Oysters come and walk with us’ the Walrus did beeseech, ‘a pleasant talk, a pleasant walk along the briny beach’….’rnrnThe audience are drawn into a musical tale and delighted by the added twists and turns in the saga, laughing with surprise when the oyster is ‘exploded’ with the help of pyrotechnic effects and a few brave audience members. rnrn

Ratty, Mole and Mr Toad

An enchanting and highly visual street theatre performance featuring Toad’s wonderful pedal powered car. Drawing inspiration from the classic Wind in the Willows book, the trio of friends have left the serene riverbank behind them, driving into an unknown adventure to discover what’s left of our green and pleasant land.rnrnWith Toad’s spontaneous antics and loud attempts to involve everyone in his schemes, Ratty and Mole endeavour to find their way, stopping for a picnic and the odd satirical song. Watch out for physical comedy and chaos as they steer their way through any festival or event!
