The Youth Cinema Foundation creates performance and moving image events to enhance the lives of young people.
We offer some of the worlds best acting and film training. We create outstanding productions for and with young people and we teach how to act in and “read and write” motion pictures.
Since 2014 we have completed over 40 films with young people, our showcases screen in the best cinemas and art galleries in the UK. Our courses are unique and our teaching can be life changing for performers and filmmakers alike.
We are a social enterprise aiming to inspire youth from all backgrounds to create and understand, rather than to only consume media, young people learn to understand this powerful medium and control it for themselves.
All tutors who work with the Youth Cinema Foundation are DBS (CRB) checked.
Jack Price is an award winning film director and teacher. Jack has written and directed for the BBC and Channel Four, as well as directing film extensively for Ridley Scott Associates. He has won awards in major film festivals and his most recent feature film work screened across cinemas in the USA in January 2014. His film Indigo starring teenagers, is available to view on iTunes and Amazon.
Jack taught with The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, The Actors Centre London, The BFI Film Academy, Tobacco Factory Theatres, Artist Rooms, Hauser & Wirth and he guest lectures in various universities across the UK.
