An-Ting Chang

I am an interdisciplinary pianist and music director/designer.

I founded a theatre company Concert Theatre since 2012, creating the combined form of music and drama. I am particularly interested in using physical work to develop links between musicians and actors. I directed The Tenant (National Portrait Gallery, Bury St Edmunds Festival) and Kiss of the Earth (Greenwich Theatre, Deal Festival, Newbury Spring Festival). I have worked as a Music Director/pianist in many musical/drama productions, including The Depraved Appetite of Tarrare the Freak (Wattle and Daub, Wilton’s Music Hall, Tobacco Factory Theatre), Carnival of the Animals (Drew Colby shadow production), The Carnival (Charody Production, Leicester Square Theatre) and The Young Ideas (directed by Edward Kemp, RADA production).

I have a piano performance degree (MMus, PhD) from the Royal Academy of Music and play piano recitals regularly in UK and abroad. I am a confident improviser and a team player in the rehearsal room.
