David insua-cao

I’m a percussionist and drummer with experience in acting and clowning. I performed in the circus band for Giffords Circus between 2011-2016, as well as performing in their five piece show for Selfridges, London. After leaving Giffords I played and performed in Catalonia for Circ Raluy. Living in Bristol I performed in the apocalyptic show ‘Band at the end of the world’ produced by Ramshacklicious. I’ve just finished playing for Spymonkey’s A Christmas Carol and currently devising a new show for the theatre company 1927.

Non-theatre work has included various freelance recording sessions in various genres and instruments, orchestral work (Bristol Ensemble, RNCM symphony Orchestra, Al Bustan Festival Orchestra, Opera de Bauge)

I am a regular musician for Live Music Now, playing concerts and workshops for SEN schools, Care homes. Workshop leading experience has been for Bristol Plays Music, the Fantasy Orchestra, the Bristol Reggae Orchestra, the Royal Northern College of Music and the Liverpool Philharmonic.

I have a large collection of tuned and un-tuned percussion.
