Emma Vickery is a South West, Cardiff and London based Actor and Theatre Practitioner.
Emma trained at East 15 Acting School, and has extensive experience in physical and visual theatre, puppetry, acrobatics, acrobalance/ partner work, clowning, mask work, physical comedy, actor – musicianship, BADC Advanced Level 3 Stage Combat, devising and improvisation. Emma is also an experienced Drama Leader and Theatre Workshop Facilitator.
Emma has toured both nationally and internationally with various theatre companies. She has performed Shakespeare, Roald Dahl, childrens theatre, new writing and devised work in various number one theatre venues as well as in the open air, and has most recently been performing with Wassail Theatre, Sixth Sense Theatre/ Prime Theatre, Light and Lark, the ENO, Illyria open air Theatre, the Wales Millennium Centre, Motherlode Theatre and Red Dog Theatre.
Emma is an Associate Artist for Motherlode Theatre and National Theatre Wales emerging director Rachael Boulton, and an Associate Producer for Wassail Theatre in Somerset
Emma is currently involved in the development of ‘Papillon’ with Sixth Sense Theatre and Light and Lark at The Wyvern Theatre Swindon, due for national touring in Autumn 2016.
Emma recently performed as an actor and dancer in ‘The Marriage of Figaro’ directed by Fiona Shaw for the English National Opera.
This December 2014 Emma commenced R&D for ‘Rhum’, a new project with Motherlode Theatre and Riverfront Arts Newport for further rehearsal and Development in Autumn 2017.
Emma is also working with Motherlode on ‘The Good Earth’, a devised performance originally produced by the WMC and now a collaboration with RCT Theatres, Motherlode Theatre, Chapter Arts Centre, and the WMC. The piece originally debuted at The WMC in Autumn 2013, had a run in 2014, a residency at Chapter Arts in Autumn 2015 and is now preparing for a 2016 Wales tour.
