I am a cellist & musician who plays experimental and improvised music, writes music for and makes theatre, and teaches. I have been actively involved in working in theatre companies and as a performing musician since 1996.
I am a cellist, musician & theatre maker. I have been making music for theatre, both live and resorded since 1997 when I started to become involved in productions at Battersea Arts centre in London. Since then I have made the scores for over 50 theatre and performance productions, working also with dancers, live art, and performing myself. As a musician my main area of performance is in improvised and experimental music. I am part of a number of groups who explore different techniques of playing, and perform unusual scores, as well as doing straight up freely improvised music. I am co-artistic director of a visual theatre company called ‘The Ding Foundation’, we make theatre that tells strange dream like stories, usually without words. I have worked with a fair amount of puppet companies and puppeteers including The Little Angel Theatre, Improbable theatre, Norwich Puppet Theatre, lost and Found Theatre, Indefinite articles & Wild Theatre.
