I have also done placements at The Bristol Old Vic, The Royal Court Theatre London and The Arcola Theatre London.

I attended Bristol Old Vic for just less then a month, and was lucky enough to have the Company Stage Manager tailor my time there learning in a variety of activities. This included prop sourcing, covering the book in the rehearsal room, helping get ins and get outs, helping construct in the workshop, rigging and programing.

My time at The Royal Court Theatre London was a very prop based placement. I had been called to London very late minute to help a very overstrained Stage Management department. The production was just about to go into tech week and a lot of the props and set dressing had suddenly been changed. I provided an extra pair of hands who could run around London buying and collecting things while the rest of the Stage Management department had to stay at the theatre during the technical rehearsal. The production was “Who Cares”.

I attended the Arcola Theatre for just under a month. This included performing a variety of jobs such as helping with the get ins and get outs of arriving and leaving shows, helping to supervise the tech rehearsals and dress rehearsals of companies using the theatre. I also worked as a step in steward on occasion as well as working as a assistant stage manager on one production. Lastly I also helped with the general everyday running of the theatre. I.e. Fixing lights, maintenance etc..
