James Gray

Actor/performer based in Bristol, trained in acting at LCTS (the Actor’s Company)London. Has acted in UK theatre productions, mainly in London. Also a teacher of the Alexander Technique and member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (www. stat.org.uk). Has taught Alexander Technique at City Lit, London, the Alexander Studio, London and also at Arts Ed Theatre School in London. Currently teaching individual lessons in Alexander Technique in Bristol and London.

I trained in acting at LCTS (The Actors Company) in London after living for several years in rural Ireland where I had been part of a small community theatre touring company. I have acted mainly in London theatre productions. I have a BA Hons Degree in English Literature and also trained as an Alexander Technique Teacher from 2006 to 2009 at the AT studio in London. I am a qualified AT teacher and member of the society of Alexander Technique Teachers (STAT). I offer monologue coaching based on my background in Alexander Technique, combining work on the text with the physicality of performance (voice and breath, poise and being comfortable as well as energised in performance).
