During May 2011, (as featured in ‘Showcase’ on the Theatre Bristol website) I was one of the fortunate students, from Filton College, lucky enough to attend the trip to Serbia! This was a life enhancing experience, where we got to interact and work with Serbian students to create street theatre performances in the heart of Novi Sad city centre. The most enriching part of this trip was being able to hear and share personal stories with the Serbian students which helped in creating a bond that enabled us to create some really successful performances and make some really great friends!!

I was a performer-Deviser in the company ‘The Dead Iconics.’ The performance took inspiration from the work of theatre director Tadeusz Kantor and artist Allen Jones. We performed at Rose Bruford College. We are taking this production to the Edinburgh Fringe on 17th-23rd August 2015. If you are up there, please come and support us!

I was a performer-deviser in this fully devised production, directed by Chris Johnston. The process and performance were very playful, exposing the extensive exploration into improvisation.

The Subconscious Response to the Blue Bobble Hat

Portfolio image: Lydia MacRitchie - The Subconscious Response to the Blue Bobble Hat
I directed four performers in this visual theatre and puppetry show, as part of my final practical dissertation. It follows the travels of Neil Madrew and his blue bobble hat on an alternative journey of discoveries and misguided judgements…rnrnWe are hoping to take this show to the Thamesmead Festival in London at the end of May 2015. Hopefully coming to a venue near you very soon!
