Miranda Cromwell

I am a director, choreographer and dramaturg, currently the Director of the Young Company at the Bristol Old Vic. I have taken the play Children of Killers to the Cottesloe, National Theatre and won awards for artistic leadership with the production of Our Country’s Good at NSDF. Through my own company, Twisted Theatre I have been developing collaborative theatre-making that explores a multitude of theatrical languages. Most recently I directed the sell-out show Pigeon English at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2013 and earlier this year I was invited to be a guest director at the College of Charleston, USA. This work has prepared me for directing in many different ways through devised and scripted work. I have a keen interest in developing new audiences and telling stories in unexpected ways.
