“I am interested in work with something to say, in a theatrical gamble. I love playing with Verbatim texts, robust and fluid physicality, and painfully true stories. I am interested in giving overlooked communities and forgotten demographics their voices back, examining their stories, and forcing an audience to see themselves reflected back within those words. I am as much interested in the space between the words as the words themselves.
I believe in the invention of theatre, that a goat can be made from two walking sticks and an old rug, and that a living protagonist can rise from dripping dough. I believe in serious play, and childish solemnity. I believe that one story can change the world.”
