Description

The folk house is a centre that provides social and educational facilities for the people of Bristol. It is managed by a co-operative and runs courses and workshops and holds live music, poetry and fundraising events in its main hall. Smaller rooms can be rented as break-out space, but it is the main hall that is usually used for rehearsal. The main hall is light, has a temporary stage that is permanent and comes complete with a piano. There is a cafe bar that can also be hired. This space has been used for: auditions, rehearsal, workshops and classes.
