Technical Info

Floor Description:

Concrete

Physical description:

Creative Workspace is ideal for theatre rehearsals and workshops. It is a community interest venture with profits from hires being returned to run community arts events at the venue during school holidays.

Power Supply:

Several power sockets on three of the four main studio walls.

Power and Lighting Details:

Standard domestic suspended lighting.

Some companies have brought in touring lights to use. We are working towards having our our rig installed (scheduled to happen in 2020).

Sound Equipment:

Mounted PA in main space.

Details of Sound Spill:

The venue is not in an immediate residential area. There will be a cafe next to the rehearsal space and some sound may spill from the rehearsal space to the cafe and vice versa, but this rarely presents a problem. There is a separate small meeting room (3m x 3m) which is self-contained and would be suitable for recording music/voice.

Rigging Information:

No overhead rigging. If companies are bringing touring lights they will need to bring T-bars.

Blackout Details:

Space has blinds that create not a total blackout, but sufficient for lighting effects to be seen.
